Here are the 7 tips for a better experience using a CPAP machine:

  1. Practice wearing the mask before bedtime to get used to it.
  2. Use the CPAP machine every time you sleep.
  3. Make small adjustments to the mask nightly for better comfort, do so while lying down
  4. Make sure the mask you have fits you - position, breathing habits
  5. Use the AutoRamp setting to start at a low air pressure, which gradually increases as you fall asleep.
  6. Use a humidifier to keep your nose and throat moist.
  7. Wear gloves to prevent yourself from taking off the mask in the middle of the night.
